If you plan to visit Australia, don't underestimate the size of the place. It's enormous! Everybody lives in a narrow strip around the coastal areas,mostly along the East Coast, and the middle is empty. The journey from Perth to Adelaide is like driving from London to Instanbul or Moscow except that there isn't much in between and even then you will only have driven 2/3 the way across.
The map gives you some idea how big the country is compared to Europe.
In fact it's even bigger than the moon!
