In 2009 we flew into Perth and visited our son for a week before flying across to Brisbane to spend several days in the Byfield National Park with some friends.

We then flew south to Melbourne to pick up a car and camping equipment and then drove back to Perth via the centre.

After a week or two in Perth, we headed north to Exmouth to visit the Ningaloo Reef again.

In all we drove 14,000 km.

Rather than the luxery of a caravan, this journey was done using a tent!

We flew the red dotted routes and drove the yellow routes.
